One of Our Goals

Protecting and preserving the authenticity of Native American art is incredibly important. Creating a guild to support state-recognized tribal artists and ensuring adherence to the Indian Arts and Crafts Act shows a dedication to maintaining the integrity of Indigenous artwork. The process of verifying the authenticity of tribes and allowing them to be added to the list demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity and accuracy.
Our organization diligently seeks to ensure accuracy and inclusivity within the guild’s list of recognized tribes. By cross-referencing with the National Congress of American Indian’s tribe directory and individual state records, we’re establishing a strong foundation for authenticity. We have an open channel for tribes not listed to reach out and verify their official status, further strengthening the guild’s commitment to representing and protecting the heritage of state-recognized tribal artists. We wish to be thorough and respectful of tribal identities.
We encourage official state-recognized tribes to engage and collaborate with our organization to showcase your tribes commitment to fostering partnerships across the nation. Building relationships and working collectively with these tribes can be immensely beneficial for preserving cultural heritage and supporting Indigenous artists.
